Me after snowshoeing at Olympic National Park
Born and raised in Dallas, TX, I’m currently a UX Designer working at DealerOn. I lead the UX of 5 products (3 of which are being shipped) within our CMS (think Wordpress or Squarespace, but for car dealerships) and contribute to our design system.
In my spare time, you can find me birdwatching, making autobio comics (I tabled at Short Run Comix), running, hiking, skiing, posting on Strava, cooking, baking, creative coding, going to concerts and conferences and conventions (Config and ECCC, anyone?), keeping up my 1,000+ day Duolingo streak, and adding to my novelty sock collection.

Let’s chat!
I’m always open to inquiries, coffee chats, and new opportunities! 🥂 I work remotely from Seattle, WA, but am cool with relocation.

How I roll:
Talk to stakeholders, old and new. They’re the ones who use your products. They have a lot of opinions and will provide context necessary to take products from okay to great.
Talk to PMs. Tackle product scope, strategy, and vision. Understand how the product fits into the overall business. Don’t let UX take a backseat. Use UX best practices and research to guide your way forward.
Talk to engineers. Don’t ask PMs to play a game of telephone. Go to weekly engineer standups. Clarify scope, functionality, and implementation together. This saves time and frustration.

Previously:
I was at Attentive as a UI Designer. Shipping product updates, design systems, and accessible web experiences, I collaborated with client strategy, engineers, and PMs to improve our product for billions of users.
In May 2021, I received a BFA from the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis. I majored in Communication Design and minored in Writing and CS. I’ve taken classes at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) and The New School (Parsons).

“I wanted to thank you for all the work you’re putting into this. I spoke to [Director of Product Management] yesterday and showed these mocks and she was very pleased to see progress being made and where we’re heading with this, and I made sure to give the credit to you. I provide feedback, but this moves as fast as the work you put in, and I really appreciate that you’re staying on top of this, and getting mocks set up, and following up with me. I really enjoyed this process. It’s great to see how this product is shaping up and will be something I’m really proud to show to execs on Monday.” —Javier Urbina, PM at DealerOn
“Really well done so far. Level of detail is good, everything is well aligned. I’m really glad you’re with us on this.” —Helene Goyat, Frontend Software Engineer at DealerOn, on my mockups
“Literally speechless at how efficient & organized you were! Thank you for being SO communicative and so detail-oriented and thorough with your explanations. Not to mention they all look amazing (despite how annoying it must’ve been with the translations). You are amazing, thank you so so much!!!!!” —Grace Yuan, Client Strategy Manager at Attentive
“You’re an amazing teammate who not only volunteered creative solutions but also a helping hand to anyone in need. It was great to work with someone who was always eager to learn and determined to make improvements wherever they saw the opportunity.
