With 3.4 million geocaches on 7 continents, geocaching is the world’s largest scavenger hunt. I design our consumer-facing mobile app (500,000 MAUs) that helps users navigate to and find geocaches.
Areas of focus: first time user experience, acquisition, retention, translations in app, accessibility (especially large text, languages), cache maintenance
I own the pattern library, meaning I create systems that scale and reduce friction between engineers, designers, product, and leadership. I maintain feature parity between iOS, Android, and web. I build powerful quality of life updates driven by data and research. I play the game and meet with users across the world to understand desires and pain points.
